Happy Healthy & Active Kids!

With the challenges of 2020 behind us, the begining of a new year is an exciting prospect. We are looking forward to realising new possibilities at school in 2021 and have a renewed sense of focus on the development of habits that will treat us well in a less than certain future.
Part of our renewed focus is focusing on having healthy, happy and active kids. In 2021 we are launching a new health subject to help us achieve this aim. From Year Two upwards each class will have an hour of a specialist Health subject every week that will support the Physical Education program. Health will differ from Physical Education as it will have an additional focus on fitness, nutrition and mental health (including social and emotional learning).
The whole subject will be delivered through lots of games and physical activities that complement the PE program but also aim to develop kids understanding of their own minds and bodies.
We look forward to posting updates throughout the year and sharing the learning and fun that is happening in both PE & Health!
