Don’t go anywhere…without an exit slip!

Today’s presentation was all about exit slips in mathematics. A lot of today’s session was based on the work by John Hattie in his recent book ‘Visible Learning in Mathematics’. In the text he describes many examples of exit slips being an excellent way of assessing learning in mathematics classrooms.

Today we discussed some tasks that we can use and worked on different ways that we use exit slips to inform our teaching in future lessons. There lots of easy ways to implement exit slips in our lessons, including human movement, check out the photo below.


Here is the slideshow used in today’s meeting. We will be using exit slips in our classes this week and discussing it in section meetings next week.
